press pause — retreat

scotland.
january.
are you in?

a small group. the scottish highlands. candlelight, dark mornings, peat fires — the kind of quiet that reorganizes you from the inside.

i've been dreaming this one up for a while. a new year's container for the ones who want to begin the year slowly — not with resolutions, but with presence. with the body. with winter doing what winter does.

dates are still forming. details are still forming. i kind of love that — i want to build this with the people who are meant to be there.

if something in you just moved, add your name below.

shift your perspective.

it’s the last week of 2025, the liminal week between christmas and new year’s day. i am reveling in

the midwinter shift is a 9 day holistic mini-cleanse, steeped in reflection, reverence, and intention. it is designed to help you release physical and emotional baggage, reset your energetic baseline, and realign your vision with your values for the coming year.

it’s an invitation to shed the weight that’s been holding you back, a chance to recalibrate your cravings, habits, and focus—so you can realign with your inner compass and embrace the new year feeling light and clear.

through a modified elimination protocol, guided mindfulness and embodiment practices, cleansing and nourishing daily routines, supported by a committed community, this program offers you the opportunity to align with the season and connect with what matters.

the midwinter shift is designed to meet you where you are—whether you’re easing in gently or ready to dive deep.

the journey begins january 11.

the midwinter shift serves as an antidote to post-holiday heaviness and year-end burnout. it harmonizes the discipline and depth of the cleanse sādhanā with the poignant potency of new year’s day—a time ripe with momentum and brimming with potential, yet often fleeting due to overly ambitious or surface-level resolutions. this program offers a grounded, practical way to channel that energy into meaningful change and set the tone for the year ahead.

while there is an emphasis on plant-based nutrition, guidelines around food quality, and a practice of temporary restraint on some foods, the program is inclusive of omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans.

this 9 day mini-cleanse is your opportunity to

+ release stress, chaos, and old patterns from the past

+ reset your cravings and habits to nourish your body and mind

+ realign your vision with your values to create intentions for the new year

we’ll eliminate commonly inflammatory ingredients (sugar, dairy, gluten, alcohol, refined and processed foods) and increase nutrient-rich foods (eat more vegetables); align with cycles of nature; practice mindfulness and embodiment; reflect and contemplate through writing; make space in our environment and on our plates; and lean on our committed cohort to help you create momentum for the year ahead—with grace and purpose.

  • i was hesitant to do a cleanse—to examine the details of my habits, and see where i can make changes. sometimes it’s scary to know the data. but now, i feel more empowered knowing what to do with that data, if it’s not where i want it to be.

    — S T E V E

  • the cleanse really supported me in my work environment. i’m more clear when i work, less stressed out, and less tired. i realized it’s okay to put myself first. telling people what i need, in order to be the best i can be, isn’t complaining—it’s just me taking care of me.

    — K R I S T I N E

  • it feels so good to intentionally set aside time to take care of myself. having a dedicated space and crew to nerd out with on new recipes and ayurvedic clocks just makes it that much better!

    — M Y L A N

  • i'm anchored to my wellbeing in a way i never have been. i feel like all my parts have been sewn together (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual) and i'm just flowing.

in 2013, i became a teacher at the dailey method and began to unearth parts of myself that had been hiding. it was here that i met ti caudron—a renowned leader in health and wellness innovation and founder of vitaliti wellness nutritional programs. i enrolled in her cleanse program and what began as a ‘why not?’ adventure became an endless journey of discovery, and a new level of living.

i went on to do countless cleanses with vitaliti, and soon began working on the inside, as a strategic and creative director running the programs, marketing, and supporting clients.

with the knowledge and tools i’d learned from ti, in less than a year, i confidently made the shift from vegetarian to vegan (without going hungry or missing any particular foods). i grew up in mississippi, and my mother taught me that everything was a vehicle for butter! so yes, i was a proud drinker of heavy whipping cream in my coffee and a collector of cheeses—until i discovered how much better i felt without dairy.*

over the years my tools have expanded; i have continued to explore and experiment with various methods and modalities to increase my own state of wellbeing. i received my 200 hour vinyasa yoga teaching certification from stephanie snyder in san francisco, and 250 hours in clinical ayurveda studies with deanna batdorff—covering the vast arena of physical and energetic health, including nutritional remedies and seasonal alignment.

i teach public and private yoga classes, support individuals on personal cleanse journeys, and host workshops and gatherings that invite one to press pause and realign. there are few things more fulfilling to me than gathering people together and facilitating nourishment and self-awareness, and i am called to bring this powerful, transformational work to many!

YOUR GUIDE
LILA TAFF

*after over eight years of being vegan, i now prefer a vegetarian diet. i prioritize plant protein sources, but do include eggs and some dairy. being vegan was invaluable to me, as it opened me up to a vast new world of ingredients, ways of eating, living, and experimenting. i initially resisted becoming vegan because i thought it would limit me, but that decision ended up expanding me beyond any assumption. i believe it is important to feel the freedom to eat in a way that is aligned, and to recognize that what that is can change—with the seasons.
